I agree with Conder.

There are enough error dealers who scan ebay that if this were real would have bid it way up.


I don't see it as an error, PMD

That looks like a very poor casting - see the reverse.

I am not even sure how it would be possible to end up with a capped die on an old slow screw press, especially one that would have had to spread to an extreme thinness to show that much of the reverse

If it was struck with a capped die (which I doubt), what stage would it be?
Also, did you check out "LIBERTY", I agree with ArrowsAndRays on this one.
