Drsandman2, some toned collectors pay big money for monster toned coins, I felt the trade was fair for both me and the person

I understand that, but trading 3 Roosevelt dimes for a chunk of slabbed gold and 5 slabbed Seated quarters. No brainer there, I don't care if the Roosevelts were neon pink went to Mars.

I think it was a good trade. That fabulous rainbow toning is VERY delicate, and won't stay like that forever.

Better to keep the color pictures and make the deal, if it is to your long term advantage.

Those were among the most beautiful toners I've ever seen, in a series which is known for the quality of the toners. Which means, given their availability, Roosevelt toner enthusiasts will be common.

For my money, mkman, you got the strong end of the deal. For their money, knowing their environment and the liquidity of what you gave, your trading partner didn't do too bad.
