To anyone interested in collecting world silver bullion, APMEX just got back in stock the 2012 1 oz. Rwanda African Rhino. To my knowledge, only 5,000 of these were minted. At least that's how many were minted of the previous years. I grabbed one of these a while back and they are beautiful. For some reason the APMEX ad doesn't show the Rhino design though. . .

That is kinda weird. And I love world bullion coins. The only problem is, when I look at everything APMEX has, I want it all. I was staring at some wolverine coin that was a couple grand or something insane for an ounce of silver. Oh well, I still have to finish my Lunar Series 1 set, before I even think about the 2nd set, let alone another wildlife set from another country. Man, so many wildlife sets to choose from, and so little money. HAHA.

Oh well, just got my shipment of Lunar Coins, just got the Monkey,Dog and Rooster, all BU. And I blame it all on everyone here. Always posting their new shipments of this and that, which only makes me want to order too. HAHA.

Yeah, exactly that one. I was wondering, maybe if you swing in it front of a bank teller, she'll give you all her money, without reporting a robbery. I dunno, at that cost, it has to do something special, like make the owner fly or something.

Not sure if they have that mexican aztec calendar coin on that site, but I use to jock that coin for a while, till I saw it at a convention. For some reason, the calendar part of the coin looked so dirty. Not sure if it was just a bad example or maybe it's suppose to be that way, but ewwww...

The whole Mongolian series have been taking off. I'm guessing due to it's low mintage, as well as the uniqueness of the design. that and I think the first one in the series one coin of the year. Starting to cool down a bit, but those are some expensive bullion! Someone on another forum actually bought 3 of the wolverines.... at 129 each! Even posted the receipt. It was right around the time they were starting to take off, where you could get them for about 400 each.

Anyways, back on topic, the Rhino coin is actually quite nice. But I think the 5000 mintage you are talking about is for this coin: http://www.apmex.com/Product/70604/..._Series.aspx

Yeah, I've never seen the first coin you were referring too. The series looks pretty neat:

2008 - Gorilla
2009 - Elephant
2010 - Lion
2011 - Zebra
2012 - Rhino

I actually had a deal to pick up each of these, but the person I was dealing with backed out at the last second. Too bad, I really like the one I have, and was looking forward to having them all.

Pet wolverines? LOL! A wolverine would just as soon tear us limb from limb as look at us. Some pet!

What better way to protect your over priced ounce of silver than to have a flesh eating animal roaming near it

It is a 1 oz bullion coin for the Rwanda African Wildlife series that started in 2008. Different animal for each year.

Lol! That could work but the question is, "Do these recognize the owner of the silver or is he just something else to chomp on?".

If you set up the defense you should be smart enough to throw a hunk of meat somewhere before entering the room lol
