The gold coin thread was fun but I guess not as many collectors have a gold coin. I only recently obtained mine. Let's try this. Show us your prettiest or favorite silver coin. Anything, so long as it's silver. Any age, country, strike or bullion. If it's your favorite, or what you think is your prettiest, let's see it. And maybe a brief story how you got it and if you want, how much you paid. My entry is my oldest half dollar. My 1818 Bust Half. I had it slabbed and graded after I got it. I bought it from a guy who cleans out houses for real estate agents. I think I paid around 75 dollars excluding the PCGS charges. She's a beauty, no?

Great looking Bust half mds308. Here is one of my favorites that I picked up about 7 years ago. I'm a sucker for a frosty eagle over fields of purple hues..

dave700x. Thanks. Don't you just love patina? I think that would be a sexy name for a girl. Senorita Patina. I'm certain I've never seen a frosted eagle on a toned coin. For your sake, I hope the obverse of the coin is 1893. Like Tony the Numis-Tiger would say: "Frosted Eagles, they're GREAAAAT!

Unfortunately not 1893. She's an 1879 though and I love her just the same...

1795 Flowing Hair Half O-117a R-4Same as my Double Eagle in the gold coin thread, I picked this up in the Summer of '62 for the then hefty sum of $45.

ANY silver coin in MS65 or better would be nice, but how about in say, Fine condition? I'll betcha some guy will come up with a Liberty Walking half dollar in top condition, BUT How about a PROOF Walker?
