Question from Canada: When did the United States stop using silver content in their circulation issues? Thanks!

1970 was the last year of the 40% silver Kennedy half dollars,, but none ever circulated they were produced only for the mint and proof sets.

the last year of the 90% circulation coinage was 1964.

From 1992-present, quarters, halves, and dimes are minted in silver, for the silver proof sets. They are not minted for circulation.

There were also some 1976-s dollars, halves and quarters minted in silver (40% I think).
