Can you tell if this is a fake or authentic 3 legged Buffalo? There is nothing on it telling me that it is a fake but I have been wrong before. The color is off because of the flash. Thanks for the help.

I don't see any issues, but I'd like a bigger shot of the obverse... I'm looking for the noise on the indian's forehead and back of neck.

Reverse looks a bit grainy, but I think its just the quality of the pic. Looks fine

Can't see anything that would indicate fake.

there are some diagnostics I have learned to look for on these (like the stream below the belly) as they were copied so often and your coin seems to have them so I will say its real

Hows this specksynder? Sorry for the bad pictures one of these days I am going to have to invest in a decent camera. What are the diagnostics on the obverse?

Murrellington I found it at a gun show this last weekend.

You found it at a gun show? How cool is that! We're they selling lots of coins or just this buffalo? Just curious. Are you going to have it slabbed?

There should be "scruffiness" at the top back of the neck. I see that. The bottom feather is detached. I see that. The forehead should be scarred - almost Frankenstein-ish. I don't see that, but it may be because of the worn nature of this nickel.

I do see that E PLURIBUS UNUM does not touch the bison, which is correct, and the raised line from the bison's belly to the ground is correct.

And the rearmost leg has a ragged moth eaten appearance.
