whats the problem with them? PCGS has graded coins that weren't graded correctly, they make mistakes as does NGC.

Actually I'm not referring to the coin itself just the PCGS label itself. Looks like it be torn maybe from opening. In other words the labels are torn.

The 43-D label is a little nasty but it could have just been from a dealer putting a sticker right there. They dont always come off clean

They look good to me, plus they're not high value coins...

They both have a return policy and 100% high feedback. The easiest way I have found to test for these (at least lower quality repo slabs) is to get them in you hands, hold on to the the top and bottom and twist them a little. If they are fake, I have found that they pop right off.

The hologram is on the outside of the slab and is easily damaged from the removal of a sticker.

I really hate when dealers put any stickers on a slab. Pet Peeve, I guess.

They look fine to me. Slabbed coins get tossed around and handled all the time. Looks like slab "wear". By the way, I moved this to the TPG Forum ;)

The link to the diagnostics for the fake slabs only apply to the first generation Chinese counterfeits. They or into a second or even third generation of fake slabs now and all or almost all of the shown diagnostics have been corrected.

Dont think anyone would mess with a coin priced at $17. Had a few torn holograms myself. Sellers are putting stickers over top of them and sometimes they are hard to get off.
My opinions only.

I appreciate the comments but I still have problems with buying a slab with a torn label. I have checked all my slabs and every one of em have the holograms or labels inside. So for a hologram to be on the outside it must be an older slab cause I have never seen one. I have 38 PCGS,33 NCG, 1 NAS, 4 ANAC, 1 PNC, 1 PCI, 1 NGCA, 1 ICG, 1 PBC, 1 DTPC, 1 TRU GRADE SERVICE, 2 NPG and 4 SGS slabs. And none have holograms or labels on the outside except for the 4 SGS which have SGS on Top and Bottom of Slab but label inside as well.

You do realize SGS is a "basement slabber". Some of the others you mentioned, I have never heard of.

I agree with vermon, Id honestly be more worried about who slabbed a lot of those you listed than the holograms in your link. I dunno why it just hit me the first one could have just been the lighting and camera angle

Actually All the coins are quality coins even the bottom of the barrel SGS slabs...I only buy PCGS and NGC coins now, but I will buy a 3rd party slab if it is a nice coin especially if silver.
