Could you send a dateless coin in for grading? also, could you send one that can be indentified by other markings even if it had no date? Thank you for your advice.

Yes you can but if the price of the grading is worth more then the price of the coin (after grading) then I don't see the point.
What do you have?

I was just wanting to know if they would take one. Also, possibly even identify it, but most likely they won't be able to if there are no distinct markings.

Theres some surprising ways they can identity dateless coins by specific design features of that year.

Quote: Also, possibly even identify it, I'd post some pictures here first and let us ID it and appraise it for you. Might save yourself a couple of bucks in the process if it's not worth it to send it out

Thank you, but I forgot to say that I do not have any. I just wanted to know because I ordered a roll of dateless buffalos, I know they will not be worth anything. I only ordered them because it seemed like a good way to pass the time in between real coin buys.

I know that johnny12345 has sent in 1916 Standing Liberty quarters where there is no date. However, the date can be identified if you know what youre looking for, certain differences between the 1916 and 1917 give it away

The vast majority of dateless coins are not identifiable or worth the cost of slabbing. A few of the exceptions would be the 1793 Chain Cent(the chain is visible even down to Poor-1), 1796 Draped Bust quarter, and the 1916 Standing Liberty quarter.

That would be great to get a type 1 Buffalo. Even in good condition it would be valued more than I payed for the roll plus shipping.

Just wanted to keep you all updated. I received them today and there are none worth grading, so I am going to turn the rest into necklaces and sell them.

do any of them have mint marks? you could try some nic-a-date of soak them in vinegar to get dates off of them.

I kept one that had a partial date, but I wont use any chemicals on them. I just don't like that for some reason. Thank you though.

The Type 1 Buffalo would only work if the mint mark were visible.
