I think if its Struck Through Grease, it should still weigh 12.5 grams. Looks worn to me.

All the grease strikes I've had always had one side high grade A/U - B/U.
Are you using a good scale when weighing this piece as it looks like PMD to me...
I know this is 90% Silver, but I used to get half dollars that looked like this at the Casinos in Vegas & Atlantic City some 20 years ago...

I am seeing more Kennedy's since I posts my finds of doubled dies and varieties Kennedy.

I want to see something else now. LOL!

I agree, it does not look like typical wear.

At 0.2 grammes less than the standard weight, I think that some of the body of this coin has been removed.
My guess is sandblasting or similar.

Is there any disturbance of the edge milling?

bishftl: Ta for the picture of the edge.

Looks like the whole coin has copped an abrasive blasting. At 0.2 grammes less than standard, it seems that the coin is of good .900 silver. A comparison ring tone test next to a standard '64, may give an indication that the coin is of good silver.
