This one has some pretty crazy toning, what are your opinions?

With no offense, I am not particularly fond of the toning. I can't recall seeing this particular toning pattern before. Some of it like by LIB has a more natural appearance but the rest of it looks questionable. So I am not really sure what to call this. The coin otherwise appears to be around a 64 but I would not be surprised if they called this AT. I could be wrong though.

It looks like a end of roll coin, brilliant reverse and by the photo unattractive toning on the observe. I agree with the MS 64 and it may actually look better at a different angle as many toned coins do.

The coin is a bit better in hand....although I have not seen this pattern before. My dad gave me this coin so that works out. The color is a deep copper with navy blue....it's not actually that bad looking in the right light. Will post the slab later.

I hope you can get a photo that will capture the toning, I have a 1961 proof that I have yet to be able to photograph and show the real beauty of the coin.

Capturing tone in photos is tough... Proofs are tougher... Toned proofs, I've stopped trying.
I really like that Ben. Curious to see the slab, but I guess 63

Keep in mind I'm very new. The toning makes it more difficult but I I see a bunch of scratches. The overall design is very crisp though. "E Pluribus Unum" looks almost double-struck. I would guess a 64/65 area.
