Went to a coin shop that is a little out of the way for me today, but I don't have to be at work till 2 so why not? Picked up a 73 Brown Ike for $18! My lucky day.

They produced these from 71 through 74. Although none of them are exactly rare, the 73 is the "better date." Most will have a milky, washed out look that plagues these proofs. Finding one still clear is a challenge.

I am trying this picture taking stuff... I am not the best photographer! I have even read a few threads on here on best practices for photography of coins. I stink at it! I guess I am going to have to go buy a scanner.

Wow! According to Condor's list, the price you bought it at is cheaper than at any time since their release until 1988! I can't believe they were once worth $150. The local coin shop sells them for $40. He could put a price lowered sign and cross of the previous years' highs! Then they would seem like a bargain.
I'll look at my brown Ike's with different eyes now.

My LCS has three left at $13 each. I bought 71', 72' and 74' a few weeks ago. Two are clear and one has the start of some toning. What he has left are clouded.
