Toned 1955 Franklin: Shot At FBL? - Coin Community Forum

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6384 Posts	Posted 03/19/2007 2:24 pm Hello all, Here's a raw coin I picked up at a local show recently. I liked the toning and the overall look and the price was OK. Based on the number of small abrasions I would give it an MS64 grade. I think it qualifies as FBL but I would like some second opinions. I had some trouble getting decent photos (please ignore the pink cast on the Bell Lines image; it's not real!). Nevertheless, the details, luster, and toning details are fairly clear. It's definitely a challenge to get a decent picture of a lustrous silver coin. These were about the best I could do. I'd appreciate any grade opinions. Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

The only place that makes me wonder is over the second L in DOLLAR, considering whether it's FBL or not. The second pic is more pessimistic than the first in that regard.
