Although it appears to be PMD, I don't think it's enough for them to Details it. IMO, you should be okay.

It does look lightly cleaned with minor damage but it would likely slab at NGC or ANACS without problems. PCGS tends to be a bit tougher IMHO.

I would not try though. The price paid was high end retail for an XF grade and spending more money to slab it wouldn't be worthwhile (to me anyway).

EDIT: P.S. I just saw this is your coin and did not sell. I'd say that price would be fine if it were in an NGC XF40 slab. Raw? That's a lot. Problem-free PCGS VF35 pieces go for under $200.

Yes, XF details. However, a majority of the time, I see barbers sell close to bid, even in details slabs.
