What do you think? First time I've tried scanning a coin with the scanner. Looks much better in hand, spotting is hardly noticeable.

I say barely a Fine.... F-12 and agree with the harsh cleaning. That part is a shame because it is a nice coin without any other detracting damage.

After playing with the brightness and contrast in photoshop, it looks very close to this in-hand. Maybe it had a cleaning at one time, but the color is the exact same as you would find in a circulated LWC.

I'm at 15/20 for wear and if it's that dark that's a corroded coin, not a cleaned one. If it was as light in hand as the first scan, it would definitely be improperly cleaned.

Fine details net 8 for me.

Looks Fine-15 to me. No sure if it was cleaned or the color was just off in the photos.

F-VF. Nice large cent!
My 1817 LC doesn't look as nice as yours. The reverse looks like someone removed some gunk. I do not see cleaning on the obverse; just wear.

F12. If there are any pinkish or reddish underlying hues in hand, then cleaned.

Hehe, I won't be scanning any more coins, lol. There is no pitting or corrosion on this coin at all, even under 60x. In fact, I can only see the verdigris in LIBERTY in the scan. Thanks for the input everyone!
