The status auction is up online, the Downies one looks pretty poor this time while the status one seems to have alot of high end items (I'm assuming a collector with a large collection is selling everything).

That 1946 Penny is very nice The decimal errors seem alright as well. Maybe you should call Status again?

So with these auctions is there any chance of winning anything decent with postal/email bidding? or do you really have to attend the auction in person?

MobOfRoos, you don't have to attend the auction in person, you can just email them, that's what I do

Do they do live online bidding? If I had a better internet connection then I would do that.

Quote: MobOfRoos, you don't have to attend the auction in person, you can just email them, that's what I do Yeah but I guess my concern is that for the really nice coins it would be easy for someone who is at the auction to outbid you. ADMISLE, have you won any high grade predecimals by email bidding?

Yes, MobOfRoos, I did with Status. I always bid the highest price which I can afford. Of cause, people at auction will have advantage, but I am living in Adelaide, it's not worth of flying there.
enworb, I don't think either of them have live online bidding.
