I need some help finding a new supplier for 2x2 flips. The flips I am currently ( Coin World) using have 'saw dust' on them from when they are cut. I spend more time trying to clean the dust off and I am afraid that I am wasting my time using flips that are already contaminated. Any way I like the style of these flips as they use thin 'cardboard' and fit in my pages easily. I have used the whitman flips before but they have the thick cardboard and are harder to get in and out of pages. Any suggestions or ideas.

Have you tried the ones on Wizardcoinsupply.com. You get 100 for $2 plus shipping on the whole order.

Just about all cardboard flips will have dust in them. Some more than others, its part of the reason why some coins gets damaged without people knowing.

Quote: Just about all cardboard flips will have dust in them. Some more than others, its part of the reason why some coins gets damaged without people knowing. Glad you said Just About. I've been purchasing them for possibly 40 to 50 years and so far never found any with dust, dirt, stuff on them at all. Of course I get mine at coin shows so might be from some special supplier. Oddly enough where you buy them is kind of unimportant. If you'll notice none that I've seen so far have a manufacturer's name on them. Some come in a plastic bag with a name on them, but no gurantee that what is inside is made by the name on the package. Whitman could make them and send to many companies in bulk and then they put them in their packages. Sort of like what is done with most items today. Over the years I've purchased flips with slight different colors to the cardboard, slight differences in thinkness, etc. Of course this is all not much help with your question. My only suggestion would be to find a coin show and look there.

noahs-numismatics No that is not a good deal. You can get 100 for $2 at wizardcoinsupply and the shipping was only about $6 for me, so if you order more than just the flips you will have a good deal.

I have been getting all of my 2x2's from my local coin shop for a year or so now. I pay $3.80 for 100.

I see where you are coming from stud722, but if you were to buy a lot of them then the extra $1.80 per 100 would add up and be more then the shipping would be. As for which one is quicker then of course the local shop would be. Also, there are no really local shop where I live.

If I had a choice I would always pay a little extra to support a local shop just because they are a local shop over any internet deal. I think a dollar or two here and there is a small price to pay to be able to keep the convenience of being able to stop by anytime you need something right then. If you always purchase from online dealers and you have one near by soon that may be the only option you are left with

Hi, Just want to share that I have just purchased some coin albums from this store on ebay!! They have coin album of all sizes as well as currency albums !! The ebay store is named Dr Zeve Station with the following link http://stores.ebay.com/Dr-Zeve-Station(copy and paste the link onto your web address if the link do not work) Besides coin albums, they are able to get other coin accessories as well!! Perhaps one can feel free to drop a question on ebay to them if required ! Hope everyone here can support. Thank you !

Bryan1315, I agree and I would buy locally if there wasa really local coin shop and I have a way to get there. I am only 15 so transportation is key in this matter. LDRC (Lost Dutchman Rare Coins) is sort of close, but it is out of the way to me. My parents would take me up there if I asked, but not on a regular basis.

I do tend to buy from my local shop for a couple of reasons. First off, yes it is quick. I can grab whatever it is that I need on the way home from work. Second, the price is not that bad and I can see the quality before I buy. I really do like to support my local shop. Not to mention, as I buy more from my local guy, the more likely he is to work with me on prices. It's a win win
