Hello all I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what kind of coin flips to get. By flipd I'm talking about the two piee plastic ones that flip over each other. Anyone know if their safe, whats the best brand, and how they hold up for storage.

I only use 2x2 mylar cardboard holders. All of the information relating to the coin can be noted thereon.
The 2x2's go into archival quality non PVC album pages.

I bought a bulk lot of 200 flips from FORVM a few years ago. FORVM sales page. I don't know what brand they are, but they're better than any of the flips the dealers around here normally use.

SAFLIP is the brand I bought.
pvc free an the only downside is there is nowhere to write on them.
I think I will stick to my 2x2 self adheisive flips

I got the SAFLIP ones as well. They are very good and I am moving my entire collection into them slowly. I buy pre cut paper inserts to slip in one side and write on that. Whatever you do make sure you get PVC free ones.

They are a great concept ( can even be heat sealed}.
The trouble is when you add the paper insert with the coins details you are only able to view one side of the coin in an album.
Also the coin never stays centered.
Environmentally they are a better option than cardboard 2x2's but aesthetically they "Suck"

I prefer to use cardboard 2x2s because you can view the coins easier, you can write on the front and, I believe that they keep your coins safer. The average price for cardboard 2x2s is $5 per 100.
