Hey guys question

I am looking,,, not sure yet, but for a nice display case for my elephant African wildlife series coins. Any suggestions where to look? I plan on placing the coins in air-tites as well.

thanks in advance!

Check out "Metals of the Mine". They run an ad on this page right between the posts and the list of post titles. It's a small ad but just click on it.

They have some gorgeous stuff -- and I'll bet they'll make just what you want.

One of the best displays I have seen involved putting the coins in acrylic capsules and mounting them in a see both sides picture frame, surrounded in a dark velvet background.

thank you guys, I appreciate that.

See heres the thing, I am going to start collecting those silver somalia elephants and just want to dedicate a display for them.

Thing is too, I wonder, is the space for the coin going to allow for a capsule or just the coin itself...

There is a new style display case that has a stretchy membrane that you might be interested in. The display mnakes it look like the ojbect is floating in the frame. I think the name of it's called Nimbus. The cases come in different sizes, so I'm sure you'll find one that would work.

Dave-

thanks much! I will be sure to look that up.

See thing is, the few elephants I bought have no air tites, so originally I thought, ok i;ll collect these and just be happy with an air tite on them.

Next thing I learn in researching these elephants, is there's multiple series of the same coin. So ima like ok this is interesting.

Which out of my entire world proof/bullion coins, none of them have this, either gold layering or coloring. So I decided if I am going to embark on collecting them why not get a nice presentation of their own since they wont really look good with my other proof silver coins such as the eagles or Brits.

thanks again tho I will look that info up!

I currently use an Air Tite Coin album for some of my 1 ounce coins. I don't know if I can link a site, but you should be able to search for it.

The book is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and has six pages. Each page holds five 1 ounce coins. One potential downside to this is that the album only fits Air Tite coin holders. I end up replacing almost all of my coins in Air Tites as the ones that I purchase them in do not fit correctly.

Hey guys

wow great to know that, I wasn't aware that you could get an album sized for air tites! thats very helpful

and thank you for the info about the Australian supplier I will look them as well.

having plenty of options to follow up is great, I really have never looked into this aspect of the hobby, as most coins I have collected have come in a presentation, the others I have I just bought them as is and wasn't really interested in putting them in sort of display case.

but after all this research I have done on these Somalian elephant coins, I really wanna go all out, collect as many of them as I can hunt down and then display them in a nice fashion.
