So today I got home and my dad showed my a 1967 kennedy he had picked from a teller at the bank earlier that day so it sparked the idea of roll searching (which I have never done before) so we went up to the local bank and got $160 in halves, and as I'm looking through them, I see the reverse of a Bell! I couldn't believe it! We were looking for 40% halves and got the real deal! Just thought I'd share, might just get me into roll hunting, we ordered $500 from the mint set to be there on Friday so I'll update if I have any more beginner's luck!  |

Have you gotten any 40% silvers? And trust me, I know what my odds were of pulling a franklin nowadays.

Nice! I found silver in my first roll of dimes and nickels.

If you found a half dollar with the liberty bell on the reverse and Benjamin Franklin on the obverse that is 90% silver not 40%. The only 40% silver half dollars are Kennedys from 1965 to 1970. All half dollars prior to 1965 are 90% silver.
