Maybe $15 was too much for this old cent, but it is the first US coin in my collection minted prior to 1800!

You can still make out the full date which is a plus.

You did great! For me the net grade will never be more than Poor 1, but considering the full date, that's a great piece to have in your collection! Washington was still alive...

Any 1798 cent with a readable date is a good deal at $15.
