My father is stopping through Pheonix for a few days. He is looking to stop into a coinstore to pick up a few little things that I am looking for my collection that I haven't been able to find in Canada.
Anyone know of any good stores that wouldn't cheat someone who doesn't know much about coins?

Thanks in advance!

I have shopped in the phoenix area quite a bit. What type of coins are you looking for? US modern, classic, world, ancient? There are quite a few shops to choose from.

Cccoin is ok but I find I have to haggle a bit for what I feel are fair prices. Having said that. They have a great selection.

Also there is the Coin Gallery: http://www.coingallery.com/

and Republic Rare Coins: http://phoenix.citysearch.com/profi...e_coins.html

Xavier Coins in Mesa was the only place I found, not overly priced and not a showroom spectacular. But they have some decent coins stashed away if you ask, the regular folk go to that shop but its nowhere near Phoenix.

24 ST and Osbourne is good, they are C&C - their prices are in line with most shops - the more knowledge you have - the better deal you will get.

Wow so I actually typed this and then read the posts, someone listed C&C already!

If you are looking for moderns I would go with CCcoins or Coin Gallery. If you know exactly what you want you could call and ask about their stock and their pricing. This might make it easier for the the shop and your dad.
