I have listed 2 coins of about the same grade and type on ebay.
1 is in a PCGS slab and the other is a raw coin.
I am interested in seeing how this pans out.

IMHO the raw coin has more eye appeal than the slabbed one so if the slabbed coin sells for more than the raw one it will be an indication that people are buying the slab and not the coin
I should have listed a MS coin against the slab but that would not have been a fair test and I couldn't bring myself to part with an MS Canberra florin anyway

the raw coin has more eye appeal. This will be a test of buying the coin and not the holder

However, I think people will pay more for the slabbed example.

It will be interesting to see the end result though.

Interesting, especially after reading your response to BiggFredd view on slobbed coins.

I am sure King Goofy (Kruger Gray) would have been quite chuffed about how you feel about his first design to appear on an issued coin.
When I was a kid I didn't know what KG meant, so I invented my own explanation from a Walt Disney comic!

It should be interesting to see how this experiment turns out.

BTW, how many three steppers have you got?

Eh not really.

Both coins look good. The raw one does look a little better but some people will stay away from it because its a raw coin on ebay and others will lower their bid because of that.
