Quote:Really!?!?!?!? Its against ebay rules to post a picture of a coin with a Hitler image Yes I think it is, along with swastikas etc. That man was responsible for the deaths of millions of people, most of which were innocent and helpless and I agree with ebay that no one should profit from any effigy or symbol of this verminous persons time in history. It is not very often I agree with ebay policies but this one, My oath I do

Trout I respect your opinion and that of everyone else who thinks similar and wont try and change your minds for a second. However I personally feel it is a little too far.

Quote: Attila the Hun or Vlad the impaler These guy are ancient history. Hitler is not and there are far too many people still alive that have suffered directly or indirectly because of him. Time will heal all wounds but I don't think enough time has elapsed to heal the wounds inflicted by this mans madness

Hitler doesn't deserve to be put on a pedestal but he does not deserve to be obliterated from history either.
one day people will look past his atrocities, and appreciate history for its lessons, not memories.
and idi amin had songs sung about him that made the top 40 on music charts, he killed many innocent people as well.

with that statement totally. We should never forget the past and hopefully learn and improve our behaviour to other peoples of the world, We are still a long way from that. My objection is purely that people are trying to profit from memorabilia from this awful time in the 20th century and I see this as just basically wrong and immoral. There are still pro Nazi groups in the world that are still as ignorant and racist as the 3rd Reich and this sort of item only promotes that ideal.

I know it is historical but that memorabilia gives me the creeps. I remember growing up with kids who had grandparents and other relatives with the tattoos on their arms. I looked into the eyes of camp survivors and swore I would keep the lesson alive...but I just will never be able to purchase something that was produced to celebrate it. With that said, I think the ebay seller is trying a selling tactic.

Wow From a WWII buff's perspective and from someone that has done numerous searches and purchases of WWII memorabilia including items with swastikas I'm shocked to see everything that's on the list of "Restricted" and "Not Allowed" that I have purchased and see being sold all of the time Quote: 1936 Olympic medals Was really hoping to buy one of these
