it looks like a lamination problem to me, not a die problem

I'm with the crowd on this one. Looks more like a lamination defect.

I have never investigated the accuracy or applicability of the retail prices from bestcoin.com for mint errors in general and wanted to gauge the opinions of CCF members w/r/t the attached excerpt applying to this LHC in question.

Please let me know if you agree or disagree with this recommended retail value for this '57D

Another vote for lam. In that condition $1 seems fair. It's a good size lam and in better condition it would go for more,IMHO.

I would think it would be worth more than a $1. That is a really nice lamination error.
