In the year 2000 the Royal Australian Mint mixed up the Queens head of the ten cent piece and used it in the production of the one dollar coin, its believed about 1000 coins got out into circulation thereby making this a very rare mule in modern times a picture of it was sent to the forum moderator to use as my avatarand when its posted you will see a double rim caused by the smaller die of the ten cent being used...

hey that looks great susan you can definately see the double lip which proves that the die was smaller than what it should have been.

That's why I posted the larger image. You can only see so many details in a 1" x 1" pic. Do you own this coin?

Yes I do own it and it has a mate as well they keep each other company in the safe lol

Err crystal with your homeland security I dont think it would be safe travelling over to your place even if I took it personally. they would claim it was dangerous as they did not know what it was lol so that could grab it for themselves. Come over here for a holiday and we can organise to show you this and others plus we could take you to a coin fair or two or three [:p][:p]lol
