Questions on my findings for the 1935A $1 Hawaii and North Africa silver certificate
I did some research and can up with the below information.
Let me know if this is correct.

A "block" refers to the letter prefix and suffix that encapsulates the eight digit serial number.
The most commonly IC and RC block,
next tier of blocks are the LC, PC, BC, CC, and YB.
The real tough blocks are the ZB and AC blocks.
The rarest block is the FC block

Thanks for your feedbacks,

bobbart

First I would suggest getting a copy of

Standard guide to small size U.S. paper money 1928 to date

I have the 10th editin. I bought it off ebay.

This guide is one I use all the time, and I have access to several guides.

This guide shows SC block has the largest printed 15,000,000
Followed by CC 7m, PC 5m, LC and YB at 3m. (M is million)

And yes FCC is the lowest printed at 12,000

But the star notes trade at a higher price.

based on my guide
The FC block has the lowest number of notes printed,
so this could be called the most rare of the Hawaii notes.
It's price guide range go from VF/F $100 to Gem/CU $1,000

For the Hawaii Star notes, it looks like there are five different print runs. Each "print run" is from 12,000 to 72,000 printed notes. The guide prices range from $150 to $8,000.

This tells me that there are more star notes printed and that they trade at higher prices.

Star notes are more collectible to the common collector, so in most cases they have more value.

As for the FC block, it could be that there are just less collectors willing to pay more for this note. If I remember correctly the FC block was printed for mainland (48 state) collectors, so they could have a example of these notes. All the other notes were sent to Hawaii to be used in circulation.
