Hello I am new at this and have no knowledge of coin collecting. I have had these Canadian cents for a long time and never really looked into them. I have scanned E-Bay and other sites can find no mention of silver colored 1 cent coins. Does anyone have any info of this. the coin is shiny silver, the others are shiny copper colored. The silver one is 1904. Thanks

We need pix but probably a good guess is a failed grade school science experiment with mercury. Boy that stuff was fun to play with when we were stupid kids!

its could also have been silver dipped...They did this long ago to hopefully fool a merchant.. It was the same or almost same size as a quarter and if they did not pay attention the got dupped...remember back then a quarter could buy a weeks groceries...

Thanks to you both, I tried to upload a picture I guess it did not work. I will see if I can figure it out. So silver colored one cent pieces were not made. This coin looks real but I am no expert. I will try to get a picture of it up. Thanks

Granted - things were a lot cheaper in 1904 but I don't think you could buy a week's worth of groceries for a quarter!
