I can not figure this out, I want to say there is chip on the Y, would this be right? The only reason I question the chip is that there is so much contrast and distortion of "RTY" compared to the rest of the letters. Thanks in advance!

Could be a light strike of the Y when the die was struck. Don't think it is extra material.

I am seeing the metal raised above what looks to be a normal device but what do I know anyway, thanks for the input.

4th & 5th photo looks like maybe it took a hit and "pushed" the metal upward? Just thinking out loud.

It doesn't look shelf-like enough to me to be MD, but I am no pro.

Smaller chip on the "R", or how about a copper top? Maybe a battery?

I would take it to one of the two coin dealers close to me but they do not seem as excited about these varieties as we are and would probably not even give me an idea of what this is anyway. Well I would expect them to say PMD.
