Over the last year I have seen many a thread asking where all the ATBs are. Well, they must be here in the Washington DC area. These are the ones I have run across in the last two boxes of quarters I have gone through.

now mind you, this does not include the numerous ones I come across in my pocket change and these were found only by circumstance. I am not actively looking for them. These are simply the ones I have recognized and set aside for counting. So I am sure there are more that I missed.

6 Acadia P
5 Gettysburg P
2 Olympic P
3 Chickasaw P and 1 D
1 Hot Springs p
4 Glacier P
5 Vicksburg P
6 El Yunque P and 1 D
2 Chaco P
1 Yosemite P
2 Mount Hood P

I do expect that I wont find a lot of Ds. So folks, they are out there.

Could it be that because Washington is the seat of government there are more holes in pockets there than elsewhere?

Got my first Hawai'i volcano P in change from 7-11 today. jbuck, not sure where you are, but if you are not near a major city, perhaps that would be why you dont see a lot.

ghostrider, if it is anything, it is because we are so close to Philly. Just as I would imagine those close to Denver may be finding a higher percentage.

Here in central Ca I get one every once in while depending if I get a lot of change. Have many of Glaciers, Mt Hoods, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Olympic. The only one I am missing right now is the Gettysburg. For some reason I can't seem to find one in pocket change.

I too was having no luck finding a Gettysburg, so I finally broke down and bought a PCGS-slabbed and graded PR69 deep cameo Gettysburg for eight bucks off ebay. Finally, a few months ago, I found one in circulation. (Frankly, I don't think the deep cameo works very well with the Gettysburg design.)

I've also since then scored a Chaco Culture and an Acadia, in addition to several specimens of the ones preceding (apart from the Gettysburg). No volcano yet though. I'm in the Chicago area, by the way.

Don, do you mind if I piggyback? You seem to have mostly Philly mint--I live in Phoenix and have lightly-circulated Denvers aplenty, and all of them are posted down in the trades area. I only keep a "stock" of three or less each because I'd have to bankrupt myself every week to bring home each nice one I find, but can easily get more if someone wants them.

Thank you for the gracious offer. I'm sure I will find one shortly, so hang onto your find... But really, thanks for the offer.
First stop tomorrow, 7-11, haha

I did not keep any of those as I have all of them in BU. However, next box I will be more than happy to post what I find in the trade forum and send anything you want for simple face and postage. Easy stuff.

I found my first Hawaii (x2) and Vicksburg (1) recently....I have found most of the rest in MS condition in my area...but rather sparse. I am trying to find the bank that has them...

I am halfway between Atlanta and Charlotte (a bit closer to Charlotte). I think the problem in my area is that many of the banks are still redistributing the coins they took in during the downturn (The Great Coin Jar Dump). I am still seeing a lot of older, pre-Statehood quarters in my change.

I bought 2 rolls of quarters yesterday and found like 5 ATB coins, a Hawaii Volcano, 3 Chickasaw's, and a Chaco Culture. All Denver Mints with me being on the west coast. I never see these in change though and it seems for some reason the most popular is the Chickasaw as I had a couple of those already this is the first time I have seen anything besides the Chickasaw.
