Ok went to the coin shop to take some pics of the 2 Trade dollars I am considering and also to weigh them.

What are some of the obvious fakery issues I am looking for. They both weighed exactly .92 of a troy ounce. The chop marks on the AU weren't bad at all, two on the reverse but I think the coin has been cleaned as I saw some clear gunk in the D for the United States of America and the rest of the coin doesn't show that kind of gunk.

Wish I was a better photog but here are the images.

wow I can't really see the details good enough to be able to try and authenticate them. I think its because of the glare from them being in the 2x2 and the lighting or could be this monitor I am using right now also as mine went out and had to borrow another one so I will just hope someone else will be able to help you out

The 2 x 2's are making grading/authentication extremely difficult.

What exactly should you be looking for? Does the weight sound right?

I agree with the others...the weight seems a little heavy closer to .87 ounce troy would be better.

How much do you think the 2x2 adds into the weight?

I assumed it was weighed out of the flip....bust it out of that thing. Weigh it, and post new pics.....btw a 2x2 weighs more than .05 ozt...which makes the coin light......maybe.lol

Might be the pic, but the hand and olive branch on the first one look hinky to me. Just not feeling it on that one.

The second one the pic is way to blurry to make any kind of statement.

There is only the 2 chop marks and they are minor chop marks, one is over the Dollar and the other over Fine on the reverse.
