This coin was found with two others like it at an estate sale. I have contacted the Georgia Grand Hall and they have no record of this chapter, they were able to tell me it may have been a African American Chapter. My research has turned up nothing in Ft Benning or Columbus newspapers or records about this chapter as for posting meetings or advancement of members. This could be a great piece of history if someone could find out the members during this time, I have so many projects this one has stumped me.
The front is not unusual but the back has Tyre Chapter 22 and Chartered Sept 9 1924.

WOW. Saw that on the bay. Thing is, if it is a black chapter, especially in Georgia, it's more than chancey that it wouldn't be recognised. Any history would be at the chapter level & not the state. I think there's 7 or 8 states that do this. Only about 40 out of 50 or so do.Somewhere you might look is Prince Hall Freemasonry.
