Hello everyone, I've always been curious about this coin as I have never read anything about frosted pennies from Fiji. Any ideas?

I suspect that this coin has suffered a short period of corrosive attack. The top layer of corrosion products have worn off at the high points with circulation.

To me it looks like it was painted at one time and the high points have worn away.
