I am not a member of ngc or pcgs... with that being said, is it bad to ask for population reports for a coin? If not, how about the 2008-s Bald Eagle Half in MS-69 and MS-70? If it is an unspoken rule not to ask, then please respond with a... "Hey you should know better" response. Thanks.

Most here act with an "open source" mentality.....if we have the information we share it.

Thanks for quick responses... I do love this forum, more so than my "posts" show. I am on here learning everyday, twice or three times a day. Does anyone have the NGC pop report?

5524 for the 70s for NGC. NGC almost always has more 70s than PCGS for populations

A trick you can use for the NGC and PCGS ones if you arent a member is look up a coin of exactly what you want. Then go to the pcgs or ngc website and verify the cert and the total pop in that grade will be shown.

I didn't think that worked for NGC any longer since they changed their site around unless you were a member. I know it used to show the pop report on the same page but I think they changed that a year or so ago.

Edit: I just signed out and then checked a cert number on NGC and it shows how many are graded in that particular grade but it doesn't show the pop report in all grades like it used to. At least that is what I think you were saying to do, if not I am not sure of the method you were saying to use on NGC. This is all it shows now and if you click the links it tells you that you have to be a paid member or to sign in

Thats exactly what I was saying to do. Its annoying if you want to see for several grades but better than paying for it if you need/want the information quickly

Thanks all for the good info. It works a heck of a lot better than the guess method!
