My PC picked up a very serious virus which erased most all of my files. This is the 3rd serious attack.

I have purchased a new PC and am in the process of restoring all files,

BUT I CAN NOT BE REACHED ON AOL MAIL. The virus may have taken control of that account - I can not log onto any of my mail accounts.

Back on line - I have 360 some odd emails to answer.

Nothing was lost. I use Carbonite as an offsite backup.

Nice to know virus didn't affect you that much.
Carbonite is new to me... how do you do it as backup Bob?

It is a great system - off site encrypted backup for all files on your PC. You can set it up to copy what you want and if you have to erase your hard drive and start over because of a crash - Carbonite puts everything back as it was.

I have had to do it twice now and NOTHING was lost either time. Far better than using discs or flash drives like I did before.

Runs about $60-70 per year as I recall. I have been on it 4 or 5 years now.

You can find it by going to carbonite.com.
