Not bad? It's bloomin phenomenal !! It's a first year bun farthing with lots of lustre and grading around AU (Some light wear in high spots), but most 1860s farthings I see are Fine if you are lucky, I have one 1860s farthing an 1861 that is around VG - gVG. I really love all these cute little farthings and half pence - pretty coins - I have a boatload of VF/EF examples from the 1890s to 1920s, but nothing like these blazers - wow! I recently put this halfpenny up on the back in time thread - its about the best I have before the 1920s.   High VF's approaching Ef with some lustre - but I paid the equivalent of like 5 cents for it!  Edited by Princetane

I'm happy to report that the lovely lady below is finally going home !  to a nice gentleman over in the UK.. I'm also sad to let her go  as I've enjoyed having her in my collection since 2016. But she sold for 4x what I paid so I know she's going to a better home. Farewell young lady    |

Yet another imitation halfpenny, but as usual, lots of interesting "features" to keep me busy. Not attributable as to a family yet, but may be a Coin Y obverse mule; fully 3.5 grams underweight! I think it is either a misaligned die strike or alternatively there simply wasn't enough metal to fill the dies when struck due to being so "light."
