I'm not a fan of eagle cents (another of my unpopular opinions), but yours is BEAUTIFUL. I never knew Flying Eagles had such strong feather detail! Usually I see them looking more like the tail on yours. It looks like a gorgeous centerpiece for a collection.

And that Morgan, of course, is a kiss-my-fingertips beauty. The whole thing is gorgeous, but I'm just enamoured with the hair detail.

Welcome to CCF!

Two very nice coins! If the Flying Eagle makes MS, I think it's a 63. Hopefully there's no rub on any of the high points. It's a great example regardless.

Just my opinion but I am also thinking it will get into the MS category. I don't see any friction on this coin. It will depend on what NGC says though.

Beautiful coins! I love the flying eagle and this one has traveled through time in beautiful condition. I've not enough experience to give an opinion as to grade, but this is a coin I'd be proud to own.
Rest in Peace

well we will see. I will finally have the $125 bucks for the premium membership this coming friday. then I will have to wait for them to ship the 5 free grading coupon. I'm also sending in an unc 1935 peace, unc 1879 O morgan, 1796 large cent that will grade 2 and a 1854 Seated quarter that might be an AU or very strong vf45

i hope it grades that high, I am thinking a 58.

From your pictures I see an MS-62 minimum for your 1857 FE, maybe even 63.

Good luck with NGC!

I am sure that Morgan is a very nice coin, I have had no luck taking pictures
of PL Morgans.

But I also agree with everyone else that 57FE is a very nice looking coin.

I saw 63 or 64! Send it to NGC or PCGS and see what they say. If you want, you could always send it to CAC who will either give it a bean saying that the coin is on the higher end of a grade or the lower end

i do not like mailing stuff, that is the other reason (the first being money) that I have not joined ngc. I am paranoid about sending it and after I get it back I do not think I will mentally be capable of sending it out again. I know I can buy insurance for it but I would rather have the coin then insurance money if it did get lost/stolen.

Good looking coins easj3699,

Send it off register mail with the proper insurance, it takes a few days longer but everyone who handles it must sign it and track it. Good luck!

PS. Be sure to send the other 3 coins along with the coupon.

When I ship coins to PCGS/NGC, I usually put them in a padded envelope, bubble wrap that, inside a box. Send it Registered Mail/Insured for the total combined value of your coins, no less. They will in turn, send it back to you the same way.
