Is there any value to the tokens that are included in mint sets? I would imagine that there are some people who collect these, but do they have any value outside the cello mint wraps?

I will be breaking down some mint sets to fill holes in some albums and was wondering what to do with these tokens. Suggestions?

I have never found much to do with them besides give them to kids ,,I have a stack of them both the metal ones and plastic ones,, as far as Ican tell they have no value outside the mint set.

Well depends. If the token is meant to be there in the mintset, then it should be left as it is so that the mintset will be worth it's full value. But otherwise, it's just usually worth it's metal value.

At one time there was a new book called the Red Book on coins. No one collected them because no one collected them. Then people found out that there were people collecting them and the prices for each began to increase. At one time we all had American Flyer and Lionel Trains and just got rid of them when we got to old for them and no one collected them either. Now each piece of track cost lots of money. Hot Wheel and Match Box cars, Beanie Babies, etc. all started out as no one collects them. As to those tokens you mentioned, go to a coin show. They are being sold there.

At the Charlotte Show last week there were a couple of dealers that had them and were asking $1.00 each for them. I don't know if they sold any or not.
