I was reading another post and the phrase "on a serious note...", started a sentence. I thought it was going to be a bad pun. That made me think of starting a topic of coin/currency phrases. The two I came up with are:
on a serious note
coin a phrase
Any others? Please post!!

"That Loch Ness monster wanted three fiddy."
Aint worth the paper it's printed on.
Pepsi Cola hits the spot, costs a nickel, not a lot.
Aint worth a plug nickel.
Brother, can you spare a dime?
Two bits, four bits, eight bits a dollar, all for the Cubs, stand up and howler.
