Its been awhile since I posted - been a very busy Summer.
The last coin I posted was a 1909-O Dime in an ICG 58 holder. I happened to be in Colorado Springs for two weeks [one week co teaching
the course in Barbers with Glenn Holsonbake ] and the other week, taking a course in advanced grading with Bill Shamhardt , et al.
I brought the 09-O with me and a friend of mine is a grader at PCGS and he said the coin should cross without question - which it did. I couldn't have been happier.
After the
ANA seminars, I met up with a few friends at Summer FUN in Orlando - and spent three days there - and although I didn't find anything of major consequence
- I did find a nice couple of coins - both
Liberty nickels - both in PCGS 65 ...
Since I posted last, I have completed my date set of Dimes in MS - and picked up a couple dozen Quarters in low to high AU grades. Again, no rarities - just pleasant coins.
After FUN, a few weeks of fun with Family - then it was 2 weeks in Chicago at the Summer Convention. I assisted my friend, Glenn Holsonbake at his table
which was smack dab in the middle of the high rent district ! All the dealers areound us were well known and I had a chance to chew the fat with most of them when there was a lull on the floor traffic.
I only picked up one coin while there - a 1910-S in PCGS MS 63+ - but its the only true P/L Dime I have ever seen. There are a few almost P/L's out there.
This one could pass for a branch mint proof. I'm beyond thrilled to have spotted it under a few other slabs that were hiding it...
Well, I thought I'd stop by and say hello.....

... so you don't think I've disappeared completely. Contrary to feelings elsewhere.
