Is there a technical, numismatic term that describes a coin anomaly (or "error" if it won't cause too much commotion) that involves a depression, hole, or irregular divot due to foreign matter finding its way onto a die during mintage? Sort of the opposite of a die chip. Thanks.

that's what the explanation you have given made me think of also a strike through. Its when something makes its way between the die and the planchet it is striking and leaves an indention on the coin like you describe. And it is in the error category as they are usually unique or very few of them
