Hello Group, I have found a few books about this peso but still not find where it was minted. Can anybody tell me? Thanks in advance.

I guess "R" is the mint mark, did it stand for Rome?

I would go for the 1864 R. KM#182.
No dot after the date but one after the R.
Other external mints do not seem to have been used during that period so I'd say Nuevo Guatemala.

R is the initial of the Assayer (ensayador in Spanish) at the time, a guy called Rafael Romana. He assayed all coins between late 1859 and early 1872. 1859-R pesos and 1872-R pesos are very rare as a result of being transitional years.
He's first mentioned in various Guatemalan legislation/gazettes in the 1880s I think, and then also in the Fonrobert catalogue. If you search on Google Books you can find references to him.
Guatemalan assayers are quite hard to find information about in the late 19th century.

This coin was minted in Guatemala City.
