There is a local fleamarket that runs year round in my area. There are two jewlers who sometimes have coins. One who always gives me really fair prices and the other who wont sell a Peace dollar for under 37$. So like always I went to the guy I always buy from He had about 10 silver dollars, about 5 morgans and 5 peace. I only had a hundred dollar bill and I usually ike to buy coins with cash so I told him id buy 4. :) Than I went to the other guy and he wanted 37 each for morgans or peace. He priced his half dollars based on weight and wantes over 15 for them. I was gonna walk away but saw that he had a few commemorative halves which I got for 15 each. I never really see these coins for sale so I bought three. In the end I got 4 morgans and 3 commemorative halved for 145 Dates 1878 8TF 1880 1884 1896 Commemoratives 1923 s Monroe Doctrine1925 Stone mountain 1937 Daniel Boone Is 15 each a good price for these commemoratives? Very nice deal on the classic silver commemorative for $15 each. I assume they are all circulated to some extent ... wondering the condition of the 1937 Boone? I need that one for my circulated set. David
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

All circulated but they look good. I'm getting pictures now. I'm not to good of a photographer though. Let me know if you can roughly grade them from the picture

Go Back! As soon as they open again, go back and get all the commemorative halves. $15 is a steal if they all look that good.

If he has a half disme for sale, I would skip dinner tonight, and for the next several years, to pay for it!

Only the incredibly rare 1792 coin, minted at 6th and Cherry St in Philadelphia, before the official opening of the US Mint, was called a Half Disme (pronounced "deem"). It was the first decimal system coinage in the world, and "disme" came from the early French proposal on the subject, meaning "tenth," like "cent," meaning "hundredth." The Liberty Seated coinage, like today, used the English form of the word, "dime."

Lets see the 1925 stone mountain, I paid $45 for mine which was graded AU by the seller but I see it at about MS62-63. You may have gotten away with a real steal.
