As high as the bid is you would think the shipping would be less!(seems a bit strange) I think I could make a pretty good living just shipping at that rate.

LOL I didn't even notice the 27 dollar shipping charge. guess it costs a lot to insure a 20 dollar item.

I sure would say so. I would much rather buy $1000 in rolls and search them, but thats me.

I took the liberty of surveying the buyer's feedback, and all I can say is that someone is in for a bitter disappointment.

Well...maybe we'll all be crying some day when all we need to complete the set is that darn smooth edge Washington in MS-67 or higher...and find them impossible to come by. LOL

I am speechless. I can't imagine why anyone would pay that kind of money on an error that is proving to be more common than originally thought. It would make more sense to buy 10 raw coins for less than $100.00 a piece, and send them all to a TPG. If one of those came back a MS-67, then you sell the rest and come out ahead. Just my opinion.

i have known people who bid on their own items just to get other people to bid higher. they think that if there is at least one other bid other people who dont really know what they are doing will think that it must be a good deal if someone else is bidding on it too. I wonder if this is what they were trying to do. either way that price is just crazy.

Notice also that this buyer is buying a lot of rolls of Dollars @ $45.00 each. guess he couldn't find any on his own and decided to shoot the wad and get the slabbed one.

That is why ebay has become so big. You could put a ball of spit up for sale and it would sell if the situation was right. Of course it pays to have a few freinds or relatives give fake bids to start a biddy frenzy and some idiot ends up with garbage for a high price.
