Sorry!!!! That did not post for some reason.
I'm looking into getting a Dino Lite. Can anyone help me with a MODEL #.
I collect silver capped bust coinage and will need one that I can:
1) Get up close with
2) Take measurments (in mm) with.
3) ttur still photo on computer (USB)
I wil be attributing varieties with it so I will want to get real close

I have a dino lite and I like it. Takes nice photos but you need to use it and get practice on using it correctly. Practice makes perfect. Also lighting is critical in taking good pictures; I have black and white backgrounds to use for laying the coins on. Also you have to be careful of glare from lights so you will need to make a shield of some kind...box etc. to protect from that. There are many choices. It all depends on what works for you. Also I would invest in a stand for the Dino Lite. They have em and their not that expensive.I have a DinoXScope. Also they will update their software which I like. I have a Mac but I believe it will work with both systems or its available for both. Good Luck

BenjaminsBaby I have the Dino-Lite Premier Digital Microscope AM-3011......10x-50x,220x Variable(1x-37x,10x-92x,400x-480x and more...variable Magnification. I also have 8 led lights on scope and focus magnification as well. Of the two lights you have listed I would definitely buy the second model. I believe my model is about $100-125 more than the second model you listed. That is a very nice scope for the money. I wish you the best in what ever decision you make on which to purchase.

I debated getting a higher-end Dino Lite vs a lower-priced utilitarian USB endoscope and went with the latter. It doesn't have a measurement tool but I decided to live without that.

Here is the Dino Lite I was considering (model AM413T): http://www.amazon.com/Dino-Lite-AM4...p/B001NC9UX2

Here's what I bought: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005P40OXY/

The one I bought is not very fancy but it was priced well ($99.98, free shipping), shoots at 2 MP (larger file size than the Dino), has a dimmer dial for the lights (from off through fully on), and comes with a stand and accessories. I haven't played with it yet but will do so over Christmas. I had it shipped to my mom's house and it just arrived. She plugged it in and I watched her use it via Skype screen-sharing. I think I will be very happy with this decision.

Can't wait to see what kinda pics you get from it. I think you'll be the first with that kind of scope.

Just tried the endoscope. Using a Mac, have to open with Photobooth or FaceTime. Picture is mirror-imaged and I can't seem to correct that. I think there are other software workarounds for using scopes with a Mac and I'll look into it tomorrow. Assuming that can be solved, this camera is going to be fabulous. Great picture quality. It's late and I'm tired, not going to post any pics tonight.
