I started collecting randomly three years ago and started following trends last year when I visited the P mint (although only the lobby) and started a semi-professional collection. To be serious, I never bought any coin holders/flips until yesterday! 500 holders for half dollars. Just curious, how does everyone here in the Canadian Coin Forum store their coins or have used another interesting method for storing their coins? I will post some photos very soon.

Had that same prob myself until I noticed, the multi-vitamin with B complex fizz tablet "Berocca" (Bayer) that I drink daily was in an aluminum tube that fitted exactly with my coins. solid stack of 30 coins inside an aluminum tube

Very Creative! I used to wrap BU nickels with newpapers but that didn't really work. Anyway, the first way is my invention and I have used it for a long time. I am still using it now! The second picture demonstrates home-made wrappers.

Nothing very exciting or creative.
Bulk coinage in plastic coin tubes.
Collectible grade raw coins in two by twos in 20 pocket pages in large binders.
ICCS/CCCS soft slabs in 12 pocket pages in smaller binders.
Haven't decided exactly how to store hard slabs.
Years and years ago used to use Whitman folders, but found out the drawbacks of that pretty quickly.

nickle nubber, nice find on the metal slide boxes. I have a few and really like the way they store and stack. And depending on the size, they can hold a few hundred 2x2's. Nice snag!

Could you please post a picture of what you're talking about, nickel nubber?

petersun, if you go on ebay and type in 35 mm slide storage, you will get an idea of what they are talking about. there are many different styles. (they look outdated because...well they are! But they still work well.)

Five cent silvers in a Gardmaster album. All other uncertified denominations go into Air Tite holders with the black ring, and then into small ziplock bags to keep the holders from getting scratched up, then into single-wide cardboard coin boxes, then into the safe deposit box. PCGS and ICCS holders go into blue PCGS boxes, then into the safe deposit box.

Do you think that my "staple in evelope" way would work if I send my coins like that to ICCS? It says on their chart "send your coins in a flip or envelope."

Silver coins: Self-adhesive flips into binder pages. No exceptions, unless a coin comes with a case, and even then I prefer to buy without the case at a cheaper price if possible, though I will not decase something that I have the original case for.
Non-Silver: Standard flips.
I love having everything in one place. My favorite part of the hobby is the cataloging, and rearranging the sorting of the coins. I use it to relax in my free time.
