I have a coin with definite Obv as VF and a definite rev as F. Which price should it be valuated on? in the middle price between F & VF, or the lowest price as an F or maybe a little less than a VF?
I think with U.S standards when the obverse grades higher than the reverse, the grade is often the average of the two grades. I would go with the middle price. Internationally, I don't know if the practice is the same or different.
For Canadian coins, grading is heavily weighted in favor of the obverse, and far too many Canadian collectors will pay solely for the obverse and ignore the reverse.
