@Silverhawk74, Pushing to $33 would be a huge swing for late day though. Especially since the 10 am trading desk swing has already taken place. Still! This is a nice way to end the weekend, those ebay auctions will be insane this weekend!

Agree with Coinwatch. Itll keep getting punted down the road till about 2024ish when it has to be addressed from Social Security being bankrupt. As a President in his 2nd term he could try and address the issue now and get a lot of support in the house for doing so, the Senate would be a different story. Nothing will be actually addressed until its forced to be

Sitting above $32.50 and $1725 is slightly bullish, I expect a rise in the metals next week because of these closing prices. Fact is metals usually base during election years, after that the metals move either up or down and I am guessing that they are going up for a while.
Sure would be nice to see the last of the $31 dollar zone for the rest of the decade.

The silver price is influenced by more than just the U.S. debt. The price that silver does have is what it finds on the World market, not just the U.S. one.
Perhaps the REAL price of silver is not changing all that much. It must be remembered that it is being valued against fiat money, not real value worth. Maybe the best way to get the real value of silver is to overlay an inflation chart over the silver spot chart.
The best way I can think of to decide to buy or sell silver is to overlay a 200 day spot value chart over the instant spot silver value chart. If anybody has better ideas than this, please let me know, I am willing to learn.

Go for it, Hock! Scratch that itch! There are problems in this world that are very difficult to solve. In many of them, time is a critical factor because as time slides by they just get bigger and more difficult to solve. They can even reach the point when a formerly tough but still solvable problem becomes insolvable. Is that what they are waiting for? Seems like it sometimes.

Definitely gets harder with time, but that will be someone elses problem. Theyre either waiting for their career to be over or for the voters to actually demonstrate they care about those issues if they want to get reelected. As voters we havent shown that yet and have shown the opposite so they will just let someone else deal with it to save their job

That very well could be it, BB. These people get re-elected based on what they spend, not on what they save. So, we will just keep doing this until we are owned by those who do not. Party on, Dudes!
