On to serious matters, when is a dot a dot and not a
Cud.
Taking the original photos as examples I'd say that photo 1 is definitely a dot, (punctuation in the initials) while the other three I's say are more
Cuds.
I mean there is not reason I can think of for the mint to put marks on the dies where these are.
Don't get me wrong here, I like all these photos, and would really like to have these coins or similar in my collection. I'm just trying to understand the precise difference between a dot mint mark and a
Cud.
