found this $2 coin today with the t in australia missing is this very common?

It happens. Probably some grease in the T when the die struck the planchet. I have found a few Grease Filled Dies and they arent uncommon. Having said that they arent common either. I havent found a $2 with any detail missing yet. Its nice and neat having only one letter missing. I like it. Its definitely a keeper anyway.
