no date certain for this Type3 $1 gold piece with damage
....melt value 1/20 oz =$80 IMHO

is the picture dark or is the coin? It doesn't look like real gold to me.

Thanks atlashealth, that's what I was figuring.

Bman, The picture is a little dark, I tried to find a white balance setting that was close but I still need some practice. I've yet to weigh it though it definitely feels heavy for its size. Thanks

Even dateless these things often sell for a premium over their melt value, you might expect to get $10 over melt for this at least
